Philips Lecture Series

The parish of St. Andrew has been blessed to receive a generous donation from the estate of one of our families to establish an Orthodox speaker’s series. Specifically, under the direction of the estate of Anne Phillips, a trust was created to fund a speakers program at St. Andrews Church, resulting in the establishment of the Anne and Theodore Phillips Paschal Lecture Series. The overarching theme of this series is: The Ancient Christian Faith Speaks to the Modern World.

This year, we are blessed to have Archimandrite Meletios Webber- Abbot, St. John of San Francisco Monastery, Manton, California - as a speaker. The Lecture will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 2 p.m., at St. Andrews, We ask that you mark your calendars and hope you will attend this facinating lecture. Father Meletios will be speaking on the topic of: Finding Silence in a Noisy World: The Role of the Monastery in Modern day Orthodoxy in America.
