Welcome to St. Andrew’s Church!
We hope our website gives you a good sense of who we are as a community and what we believe about God and His Church.
We also invite you to come and see for yourself how Orthodox Christianity, the oldest and most pure form of Christianity, has worshiped God for nearly two millennia.
If you are unfamiliar with our parish, or Orthodox Christianity in general, here are some places to start exploring…
Explore this website.
Attend a liturgical worship service.
Come and see for yourself! It’s the best way to experience Orthodoxy.
The root of Christianity is Judaism, and the Jewish liturgical life did not come to a screeching halt with the resurrection of Jesus Christ; on the contrary, certain elements have continued to be preserved and practiced in the Orthodox Church from the time of Christ to this very day.
Please read our Sunday Services page for a detailed schedule of what happens every Sunday. If this will be your first time attending an Orthodox service, please read our Your First Time page, so that you won’t be surprised when encountering our ancient liturgical-worship tradition!
We encourage you to join us on a Sunday morning and follow along in the parish hymnal, or just sit and take it in.
All of our services are celebrated 50%+ in English, therefore the Greek language shouldn’t be a linguistic or liturgical barrier for you. If something is said in Greek, it’s usually immediately repeated in English; in addition, all of our education classes and small groups are in English. That being said, it’s also important to recognize the importance of the Greek language within the history of Christianity.
Join a ministry.
To get more involved, we encourage you to join a ministry! Various small groups have been formed among us based on the gifts and needs of our members. Visit our Opportunities page, and you’ll find a listing of groups and ministries that meet throughout the week for fellowship, outreach, and education. These smaller venues are a great way to get connected with our parish community!
Check out our online resources.
This website provides a variety of avenues to learn more about our Faith and unique community. View liturgical texts online, read Fr. Dimitri’s blog or listen to his sermons, view our monthly newsletters and weekly bulletins. For all this and more, go to the Resources and Education page on this website.
Meet with our pastoral staff.
Fr. Dimitri, Fr. Simeon and our ministry leaders are available to meet with you, hear your story, and dialogue with you.
Please feel free to reach out to us and get more involved!
Again, Welcome! We’re glad you’re taking the time to get to know us!
