The Metropolis of Chicago has implemented a Ministry called HOPE. What started as a food program in a church basement is now a broader ministry that provides care to the most vulnerable in the Chicago area.

We as a parish are asked to participate in this project by buying a grocery bag of the following food items listed below and bring it to church the 3rd Sunday of each month and mark it HOPE.  You may leave it in the hallway by the gym. These groceries will be delivered to those in need in the Chicago community.

HOPE asks for ONLY the following NON-PERISHABLE FOOD

  • Meals in a can/box (Chili, Hearty Soup, etc.)
  • Can of corn
  • Can of green beans
  • 2 lbs. of pasta
  • Jar of pasta sauce
  • Jar of spreadable jelly/jam
  • Peanut Butter
  • Bag of uncooked rice
  • Can of beans
  • Box of graham crackers
Please make sure cans have FLIP TOP LIDS and have NOT EXPIRED.

You may also make a donation to St. Andrew’s and in the memo put HOPE and leave it in the office marked:
